How To Maintain Your Hair Extensions
Maintaining your hair extensions can be very simple.
You want to make sure that you have your reinstallation appointments pre-booked so that no matting is caused.
- Make sure to dry your hair before going to sleep and put it in a bun or a braid so that while you’re sleeping and moving around your hair doesn’t get tangled.
- Don not sleep with wet hair
- A silk pillowcase will keep your hair from getting tangles and is also gentle on the skin
- Feel free to book a blowout if you would like your style to last
- You don’t have to wash your hair every day. In fact, many clients like to wash every 5-6 days.
- Treat as you would normal hair by using high quality products
- Brush, Brush, Brush for smoothness and no tangles
How To Maintain Your Hair Color With Extensions
If you have extensions on and would like to have your hair color done with the extensions on this will be a tedious process. We would only be able to do the hairline and the mohawk area.
You could make an appointment to get your hair extensions off then get your hair color done, and then reinstall your hair extensions depending on which hair extensions you have.
If you have fusions you have 3 options.
We can work around the fusions or get your hair color before adding your new set of fusions or waiting until they are off.
If you have weft hair extensions then getting your hair done before installing the hair extensions would be the best option. If we are customizing your weft hair extensions and applying color to them that is an extra charge and we can do them while installed although it’s not the most comfortable experience.
For the best hair experience, we advise that you get your hair color done before getting hair extensions. Then once you have your hair color done the way you want it we will then pick out hair extensions and that will make your life easier and the investment in your hair will be at budget if that is something of your concern.
The Extension Care Box
You will receive a complimentary welcome box when you purchase an extension package. The Welcome Box has everything you need to care for your hair and the extensions. If you’re going to pay to have the hair of your dreams you should have all the products that will go with maintaining them.
If you don’t like the products you have 7 days to return it or exchange for something of a similar price.
Once you run out of the product you can come in and purchase more!
Hair Extensions
All hair color services include a blowout and style and hair cut. For more info on extensions refer to the bottom of the home page.
Weft Hair
The is weft is our favorite! It's absolutely comfortable and seamless. It's great for just about anybody! Think of it as wearing a headband, in a few days you'll forget it's there.
K-tips
AKA Fusions. This is another crowd favorite. This is great for anybody with a lot of thinning and sweats constantly.Fusions are bonded a small piece of the hair and blends in seamlessly.
I-Tips
I-tips are similar to the fusions in that they are individually installed and take longer than installing a weft. This is great for thicker hair or for adding color.
Tape-ins
Tape-ins have a flat surface so it's great for thin hair. They come with an adhesive already on and we sandwich your hair in between two. This is great for people with thinner hair.
Combo
Often, clients get a combo especially if they have dimensional hair color. This means that we can mix a combination of wet hair and k-tips tips or any other hair extensions together to create dimensional color.
