The Hair Extension Journey

Hair Match: The stylist discusses the desired length, volume, and color with the client to ensure the weft extensions match the client’s natural hair. Hair texture and type are also assessed.

Extension Type Selection: Different types of hair and weft types are considered based on the client’s needs.

Shampooing and Conditioning:  We recommend client’s to wash hair before appt, natural hair to remove any oil, dirt, or product buildup. Hair must be completely dry before the installation process begins. Then I can proceed to dry and section.

Once the wefts are installed, I will trim and shape the extensions to blend seamlessly with the client’s natural hair.

Styling may include curling, straightening, or texturizing to match the client’s desired look.

Clients are given care guidelines, such as how to wash, brush, and style their new extensions without damaging them or causing them to slip.

Recommendations for products (e.g., sulfate-free shampoos, moisturizing conditioners) and maintenance schedules (regular tightening for sewn or beaded wefts) are provided.

Hair extensions are expensive because they combine premium quality materials (human hair), skilled craftsmanship, and professional application. Extensions are an investment in both time and money, but for clients, they provide the benefits of instant length, volume, and style flexibility with a natural look. When done correctly and with the right maintenance, extensions can be long-lasting, making the initial cost worthwhile.

The terms “haircut” and “trim” essentially mean the same thing because both involve the cutting of hair to maintain or change its shape and length. However, the difference often lies in perception and the amount of hair being cut, rather than the actual process itself.

  1. Haircut: This is generally understood to mean a more significant change, where the overall length, style, or shape of the hair is altered. People associate a “haircut” with a noticeable difference in appearance.

  2. Trim: A “trim” is typically seen as a minor cut, where only a small amount of hair is removed—usually to clean up split ends or maintain the current style and shape. However, it still involves the same cutting techniques as a full haircut, just with less drastic change.

In essence, both terms refer to cutting hair, but clients often use “trim” when they want to maintain their current style, while “haircut” is used when they expect a more noticeable change.

At the moment matching hair extensions to hair color is what we are able to do. that is my specialty.

If you would like your hair color done I recommend finding a someone who can do so first.

I could provide a gloss to take home to keep your hair and extensions refreshed that you can apply in the shower.
